Chapter 1

“Okay girls, billionaire entrepreneur, Jared Swenson, is coming to watch our performance. So it's in our best interest that we do the utmost best in today's competition.” Mary Ann Windsor tells her team just before the competition begin.

The girls head off to get ready for the competition, but Lindsey Harris stops Karah to talk about Ms. Windsor's news, “Aren't you scared about Jared Swenson coming to watch our performance?”

“Not really.” Karah replies.

“Why not? I can't see why you wouldn't nervous?”

“Why should I be? I do my best? That's all I can do.” Karah tells Lindsey before heading out to the horse field.

“What was that all about?” Kamlyn Winston says, overhearing Lindsey's talk with Karah.

“Just Karah being Karah.” Lindsey says jealously.

“You're jealous of Karah?” Kamlyn accuses.

“I am not!” Lindsey defends her actions.

“Hey, I have an idea to get the best of Karah.”

“Okay, I'm all ears.”

“Well, I can make it look as if Karah has an accident when she's out on the field.”

“What are you saying?” Lindsey asks. “Sabotage Karah's performance?”

“It's perfect, what with Jared Swenson's performance. She'll look like a laughing stock in his presence. She'll never win leaving the competition to one of us.”

“Okay, I'm in.” Lindsey says, wanting Karah to look bad in Ms. Windsor's eyes. And what better way than to do in the presence of Jared Swenson.

The two girls shake hands on their deal as they head out to the horse training field for the competition.
