A $Billionaire$ for Savannah

Synopsis

Savannah Ridges is a self-made woman, a successful writer and novelist, who is famous for her romance novels. When she meets the handsome billionaire prince from Barcelona, Spain, Sebastien Mateo Santiago, it’s love at first sight for Sebastian, but for Savannah, she is immediately put off by the suave, debonair prince. Savannah does her best to ignore Sebastien’s advances, but when an accident befalls the prince; will Savannah give her heart to Sebastian?

Chapter 1

Savannah Ridges was tired of self-absorbed handsome men who only wanted one thing from her—to get her into bed. She was proud that she was able to put them off and keep her virginity intact, despite the fact she was 35. She had important things to think about than let some arrogant man take her to bed.

She had a career to get off the ground—and a book to write. Sex, love and romance weren’t on her radar right now.

Savannah woke to a beautiful sunny morning and the tune of her favorite song playing on the radio, Reba’s “I’m a Survivor.”

Putting on her outfit she picked out the night before, as she always did. Then went to the bathroom to wash up and style her blonde locks into a chignon that was classy, yet professional for meeting with book editors for her new book.

Savannah had finally finished the manuscript that took her 6 months to write and had an appointment with an editor to review it.

After eating the Mexican breakfast Nadia, Savannah’s housekeeper, and close friend, made for her, Savannah grabbed her briefcase with the manuscript and jetted out to her Jeep Wrangler and drove off into the city for the day’s errands—her weekly thing she did since she lived far out into the mountains.

Savannah loved the peaceful life the mountains gave her. It helped her write her stories and gave her the inspiration she needed to write. Rarely did she suffer from writer’s block as the serene nature of the mountains was a calming presence for Savannah. City life was too much of a hassle and Savannah just didn’t’ need the stress as she was busy writing.

Down the street, a well-dressed businessman had just got out of the taxi cab and was about to head into the office building where he worked, when he was ran into by none other than Savannah, who was on her way to meet with her editor.

“Excuse me, Sir.” Savannah apologized to the gentleman.

“No, problem.” Sebastian told her as he dusted himself off.

Savannah just went on her way, but Sebastien was smitten with the blonde beauty.

Chapter 2

Sebastien tried to concentrate on work, but meeting that blonde beauty was ruining any chance for completion. And Sebastien had a deadline to catch for the promotion.

After 30 minutes, Sebastien was getting nowhere with his work and decided to take a walk to clear his head.

“Camille, I’m going to step out for awhile. Hold my calls while I’m gone.” Sebastien told his trusted receptionist.

“Will do.” Camille replied back, as she answered my telephone calls. It was a busy morning at the office.

Meanwhile, Savannah was late for her meeting with her editor and as luck would have it, missed the taxi that she was hailing when a gentleman took it instead.

“Darn!” Savannah muttered under her breath, as Sebastien happened along.

“May I help you miss?”

“That man just took my taxi.” Savannah whined. “Now I won’t be able to get to my meeting with my editor.”

Sebastien was happy when he discovered Savannah was the blonde beauty he couldn’t stop thinking about.

“I can have my driver take you to your editor.” Sebastien offered.

“Would you?” Savannah said gratefully.

Flipping open his cell, Sebastien made a call to his limo driver.

“Okay, he’ll be here in 5.” Sebastien told Savannah. “Shall we go over to that hotdog stand for a bite to eat while we wait?”

“Well, I am a bit famished.” Savannah said, as the two walked over to the hotdog stand.

“I’m Sebastien.” Sebastien introduced himself.

“And I’m Savannah.” Savannah replied back.

As Sebastien and Savannah got to know each other over a hotdog and soda, Sebastien was becoming more and more smitten with Savannah; but to Savannah, he was just a guy who helped her out in a pinch.

“I see my driver is here.” Sebastien said, slightly disappointed.

“Yeah.” Savannah replied. “Hey, thank you so much.”

“Anytime.” Sebastien said as he climbed into the limo as his limo drive off.

He had to get to know that woman. There was something about her.

Chapter 3

After having a bite to eat with Sebastien, Savannah noticed the time and saw that she had 30 minutes to make her meeting with her editor. Hailing a cab, Savannah hopped into the vehicle as soon as it stopped.

“247 Washington, please.” Savannah told the cab driver.

As the cab pulled from the curb, Savannah sat back and enjoyed the ride and looked over her manuscript, “All Out for Love,” the third series, “Romance in the Rockies.” Her editor, Jayne, was getting antsy waiting for her to complete it.

As soon as the cab driver pulled to the curb, Savannah paid the fare and jetted inside the building to meet Jayne.

“I can’t wait for this installment.” Jayne said as Savannah set the manuscript on her desk.

“Sorry it’s late. I had some rewrites to do before bringing it to you.” Savannah explained.

“That’s okay. I have a new reader who will read over the book for me and tell me what they think.” Jayne explained.

“A new reader? But you’ve always read my books yourself?” Savannah said.

“I know, but the guy I hired is a real fan of your work. I think it will be a good fit.”

“I trust your judgment.”

“Well, would you like to meet him?” Jayne said excited to introduce Savannah to her new reader.

“Sure, why not.”

“Sebastien, could you come out here?” Jayne peeked inside her office.

“Sure thing.” Sebastien said as he stepped outside to find a shocked Savannah waiting.

“You?”

“It’s good see you again!” Sebastien greeted her.

“You two know each other?” Jayne asked.

“We had a bite to eat yesterday.” Savannah explained.

“Great! You two know each other.”

“Yes. I went home and read a few of Ms. Ridges books last night. I liked them so much, I had to read more. Then I saw an ad for a reader and applied for the job. It was just my luck it turned out to be your books.” Sebastien said.

“Well, here is the third installment to Savannah’s series.” Jayne said, handing the manuscript to him to read.

“I’ll get this read tonight and let you know.”

As Sebastien went off to do some reading, Savannah couldn’t believe that Sebastien was going to read her books before they were published?

But little did Savannah know, but Sebastien had asked Jayne for the job when he first met Savannah, figuring it was a way to get to know Savannah better.

Chapter 4

Sebastien read Savannah's book from start to finish in no time. He simply could not put it down. He was engrossed in Savannah's compelling storytelling. She was an excellent writer—a master at her craft and he couldn't wait to tell her what he thought...among other things.

He punched in Savannah's number he had already put on speed dial from his landline, as Sebastien was still in the dark ages when it came to technology (there were still some things he didn't want to change) and waited for Savannah to pick up.

It seemed like ages for Savannah to pick up, but in actuality, it was only a few minutes.

“Hello?” Savannah answered her cell.

“Savannah, I finished your manuscript and...” Sebastien began.

“Already? That was quick?” Savannah said sounding generously surprised that Sebastien got back to her so quickly.

“What can I say? You're a compelling storyteller. I simply couldn't put it down.” Sebastien said knowing that Savannah was blushing at his comments to her writing.

“Wow, I haven't gotten such comments to my work before?”

“Well, can we meet somewhere to discuss publishing?”

“Sure. When would you want to do so?”

“How about in an hour...say the Olive Garden for dinner and drinks?”

“Okay, I'll meet you in an hour.” Savannah said before abruptly ending the call due to her excitement. She didn't know whether she was glad Sebastien liked her work or if it was her. But she didn't care. She went off to get ready to meet with Sebastien.

Meanwhile, Sebastien's limo driver pulled up in front of the restaurant as he was already enroute when he called Savannah and went inside to wait for Savannah to arrive.

Chapter 5

Savannah arrived at the restaurant ready to meet Sebastien when she was informed he had to abruptly leave. Feeling put off by Sebastien's absence, Savannah went back to her car and drove home not wanting to see Sebastien again.

Meanwhile, Sebastien was involved in a car accident when his bodyguard called to tell him news of his mother's illness in his home country and left the restaurant before Savannah had even arrived. He never made it to the airport to take a flight when his limo was hit head-on from the oncoming car.

A passerby witnessed the accident and immediately call 9-1-1 to get emergency crews to the site and went to check on any survivors. The driver was dead at the scene when the passerby check their pulse, but when the passerby checked on Sebastien, he was unconscious but breathing, so the passerby pulled off his jacket and covered him up until paramedics arrived.

Not five minutes later, paramedics arrived and tended to Sebastien, and the passerby showed one to the driver, who was already dead when he arrived.

As soon as Sebastien's vital signs were taken and put on a gurney and loaded into the ambulance, he was immediately taken to the hospital.

A police officer arrived and took the passerby's statement account of the accident.

At the hospital, Sebastien was wheeled into the ER for an assessment of his injuries and immediately taken to the OR for surgery.

Savannah was brushing her teeth and getting ready to go to bed when a call came in on her cell from her editor, “Hello?”

“Savannah, you haven't heard?” her editor asked.

“No, what happened?”

“Sebastien was involved in a car accident.”

“Oh, no! That's why he wasn't at the restaurant when I arrived!” Savannah deduced.

“Last I heard he was in surgery.” her editor said.

“I need to get to the hospital.” Savannah told her editor.

Chapter 6

Savannah arrived at the hospital to see Sebastien who was in a car accident on his way to the restaurant for their date. Savannah felt guilty for thinking he stood her up as she arrived at the nurse's station.

“May I help you?” the RN on duty asked Savannah.

“Yes, I'm looking for Sebastien Santiago's room number?” Savannah greeted the RN.

“Are you family?” the RN questioned her.

“No, I'm just a friend.”

“I'm sorry, Mr. Santiago's visits are limited to family only.” the RN informed her.

“Can't you make an exception?”

“If I made an exception for one person, I'd have to do so for everyone.” the RN pointed out.

“Yea, I understand.” as Savannah started to leave, but the RN's supervisor stepped in.

“Patricia, his visitor status changed due to his change in condition.” her supervisor told her.

“Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't told by anyone of that change.” the RN apologized.

Turning back to Savannah, the RN said, “Miss, Mr. Santiago's room number is 346.”

“Thank you.” Savanna said as she headed for the elevator to take her to the third floor.

When Savannah arrived at Sebastien's room, he was awake in his hospital bed as he smiled upon her entrance to his room.

“I'm so glad you could make it.” Sebastien said.

“I have to admit I thought you stood me up until a coworker told me what happened.” Savannah replied.

“Apparently I have a broken leg.” Sebastien said, trying to break the ice between them.

“I see that. Does it hurt?”

“No, not really.” Sebastien said, trying to be strong, but she could see the pain in his face.

“I'm still up for the date when you're able.” Savannah told Sebastien, trying to make him feel better and not really knowing what to say.

“Thanks. It broke my heart when I realized what was happening.”

“Can I help with anything while you recuperate?” Savannah offered.

“Yes, can you check on my puppy at home? I haven't been home in a while and he's probably a little lonely?” Sebastien replied.

“Sure, I'll head over there now.” Savannah said, “But one thing?”

“What's that?”

“I don't know where you live?”

“Oh, sorry.” Sebastien said as he wrote down his address for her.

“Wow! I didn't know you lived so near to my home?” Savannah commented when she read the address on the paper.

“Well, I guess that's a good thing?” Sebastien said winking at her.

“Yeah, maybe.” Savannah said on her way out.
