Writing Prompt...A Day In Your Shoes

You’ve had a rough day at work. You head home and go straight to bed, mumbling, “I wish I’d wake up tomorrow and be anyone but me,” before dozing off. When you wake up in the morning, your dream has come true, as you quickly realize that you are not you—you are someone else that you know! Excited to live the day in that person’s shoes, you set off, only to find a day in the life of that person isn’t as easy as you imagined.

Chapter 1

After a stressful day at the nursing center where she was CNA, Rose came home tired and crashed onto her bed.  She was so tired, she didn’t even take her nightly shower she always took after coming home from work.  She mumbled under her breath before falling asleep, “I wish I could be someone else when I wake in the morning.”  Before Rose knew it she was fast asleep.

The next morning, Rose awoke to the sound of her phone alarm.  She rose to get dressed for another day at the nursing center. 

But when she looked in the bathroom mirror, she discovered she was…her friend and co-worker, Tamara Clayton.

And Tamara was her!

Arriving at the nursing center, now in the shoes of each other, but unbeknownst to the other staff members, Rose and Tamara looked at each other…

“No one knows we switched places?” Tamara and Rose just nodded at each other.

Little did they know, but they would have to live in each other’s shoes for one day, each seeing what the other would go through.
