Writing Prompt: Nothing Good Happens After 2 a.m.?

1.       It’s 2 a.m. and you’re heading home, reflecting on the night you just had.

It was a crazy night!  I never thought I would ever see my sister again!  

We had a falling out years ago…it was so long ago, I don’t remember what it was about.  When I first saw my sister at the mall, I wanted to run away for fear that she still despised me.  It seemed like for years we had been avoiding each other, living our lives separately.

But I somehow got up the nerve to go over and say hi.  To my surprise, she didn’t shun me.  Instead, she welcomed me with open arms as he hugged each other tightly.

Then, she introduced me to her new beau and told me she was engaged to be married.  Then my sister shocked me even further by asking me to be her maid of honor.  I happily accepted her invitation.

Then my sister’s fiance treated us to dinner at a steak house in town.  There was a country line dancing and my sister encouraged me to join in.  I tried to resist, but my sister, ever the optimist, managed to get me on stage to do some country line dancing.

As I reflected on the night I had, I didn’t see the road signs warning of a road closure and I as I stepped on my brakes hard…I went crashing into the signs and landed on the edge of the cliff.

My car nearly went over the edge of the road…but something stopped me from going over!
