Drew Thomas Goes Back in Time

Synopsis
Andrew “Drew” Thomas invents a time machine and goes back in time to visit his younger days, when he comes across his younger self.  After having a chat with his younger self, he leaves his younger self with a bit of advice?  Will Drew’s younger self heed that advice?

Chapter 1
Andrew “Drew” Thomas had finished his invention after 10 years of working fervishly.  It was a time machine.  Drew had always liked the idea of being able to travel back in time to see what it was like, especially his parents’ era and his childhood days.
There was one problem though:  his friend, or should I say, conspirator, Charlie Hayes.  Charlie fell in with the wrong crowd who promised him big bucks if he got the goods on what Drew was working on.  Charlie wanted the big bucks now, not later.  It was a constant debate between Drew and Charlie—one that caused Drew to drop Charlie from his invention.
Charlie wanted revenge on Drew and what better way than to take the invention away from Drew and get the big bucks for himself!
“Charlie, do you have the info from Drew’s invention?” Charlie’s co-conspirator asked when Charlie answered his text.
“Not yet, but I’ve been keeping tabs on him and it looks like he’s near completion.” Charlie text back his partner-in-crime.
“O.K.” came the reply.  “Give me details as soon as you get them.”
“Will do.” Charlie text back.
Charlie didn’t know the identity of his co-conspirator as they had never met, only texted back and forth or e-mailed.
Meanwhile, back at Drew’s cottage…..
Drew wanted to give his invention a dry test to see what it could do, so he dialed in the year, 1985, the year he was 18.  He wanted to see his younger self.  Drew had no idea the damage he was going to do by going back to 1985.
