Good vs. Evil


Write a story based on the theme of:  good vs. evil.

She didn’t know what to believe anymore?!  It seemed that evil always won!!

After her disappointment in watching the evening news, Tarah Jenkins decided to take her Sheltie, Misfit, for walk.  She needed some time to reflect on the state of the city she had always loved.

As she and Misfit walked, there were homeless people foraging in garbage cans looking for their next meal.  “How sad that nothing could be done for these people?” Tarah thought to herself.

But as she continued walking, Tarah noticed someone’s wallet lying in the gutter.  As she opened it up to find who the owner was so she could return it, there was a at least $10,000 in it—and the weird things was—there was no ID so Tarah could give it to the proper person.

Tarah decided she needed to take it straight to the police station so they could find its owner.  

But after the allotted time, no one came by to claim the wallet, so the detective called Tarah and said it was hers.

Tarah thought long and hard about what to do with the money for two days.  The homeless in her city always came to mind and she decided to donate to the shelter.  

But before Tarah could make it to the shelter to donate the money, the nagging thought that had plagued her since she came into possession of the money hounded Tarah—start your own soup kitchen!

So that is what Tarah did—she opened up a soup kitchen to feed the homeless in her city.  Before long, Tarah was helping others find a place to sleep and eat.  

A doctor happened along Tarah’s homeless shelter and was impressed that he offered his services to counsel the victims in how to get their lives back on track.

Tarah’s homeless shelter was now a center to help those get off the street, get a warm meal, and help those find permanent homes and jobs to get their lives back on track.

What started out as just a thought in someone’s mind was helping others get their lives back.  Tarah went to sleep that night knowing that she was helping others!  The world didn’t look like that bad of place!

Now, if she could only find a way to stop the random shootings in the world?!
