Writing Prompt: A Whole Week


A Whole Week: Describe each day of the week as if it were a person. Give each one personality traits, a job, and a goal. Write a story about them.

A group of friends decided to head to the beach and enjoy a day of surfing.  Their names were Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.  Sunday was afraid of water.  Monday didn’t like sand.  Tuesday didn’t have a surf board.  Wednesday was afraid of sharks.  Thursday hated the beach—period!  Friday wanted to go for a boat ride.   And Saturday, well, they just wanted a lazy day to relax.
Did any of this stop them from enjoying a day on the beach?  No!  Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday rented a boat and took a boat ride while Monday, Thursday, and Saturday each took turns water skiing behind the boat.
It was joyous day for everyone—and they all went out for the rest of the week to spend it at the beach!
