The Creepy Case of a Serial-Killer Taxi Driver



Synopsis
Women are turning up dead and one detective is determined to find the killer.  But secrets from his past complicate the case.  Can the detective solve the case without ruining his career?

Chapter 1
Jak Harris was hard at work on a case involving a woman whose husband was suspected of cheating on her when he got a call from Lt. Fritz Bard, whose was baffled by his current case.
“Lt. Bard?” Jak asked, surprised to hear from him after their falling out over his last case that went so wrong.
“I need your help, Jak!” Lt. Bard begged, sounding desperate.
“And you want my help?” Jak said in disbelief.
“Let’s not rehash old wounds right now, Jak.  I’m baffled by my current case and I’m asking for your help.”
“Ok.  What do you want?”
“Can you come down to the station to discuss the case?”
“I’ll be there in 15.” Jak said before hanging up.
Jak didn’t want to help Lt. Bard since their falling out after the last case he worked on with the PD.  They got into it over the murder of Lt. Bard’s 5-year-old daughter went missing.  Jak and Lt. Bard had a difference of opinion on how the killer, Chase Sollen, was to be handled. 
Things ended badly between Jak and Lt. Bard when he found Lt. Bard standing over Chase with a gun.  Chase’s life was spared and got a life sentence, but Lt. Bard never forgave Jak for stopping him from sparing Chase’s life.
And now, Lt. Bard wants Jak to help him with another case….
