Is There an Attorney in the House?

Plot

A random story of comedy legal drama.

Part 1

"Is there a lawyer in the house?" the judge asked the courtroom.

No response from anyone in the courtroom.

Several minutes later, a hand goes up.

"You, ma'am," the judge yells, "Are you a lawyer?"

"Me, no," the lady says.

"Then why did you raise your hand?" the judge asks.

"Your Honor, I'm no lawyer, but I have watched a ton of legal dramas on Peacock TV." the lady explains to the judge and the courtroom.

"What is this, a comedy show or a trial?" the judge asks.

Part II

“Well, since the defendant has no legal representation, I dismiss this court until one is presented to him!” the judge says as he slams down his gavel.

Guards lead the defendant out of the courtroom as the judge heads back to his office. He couldn't believe that no attorney showed up to defend the defendant?

“What kind of circus is this?” the judge wondered, as he took a seat to read some more legal briefs.

Meanwhile, the prison guards take the defendant back to the precinct and place him back in his cell.

“So, no trial?” the man's cellmate asks.

“Funny thing, no legal representation? Just some woman who raised her hand saying she wasn't, but that she watched a ton of legal dramas on Peacock TV?!” the man stated.

“Was that supposed to be funny?” the cellmate replied.
