The Discovery

Chapter 1

Brad came running into Aeryn's room without knocking.  Aeryn had promise to take Brad on a hike with his two friends, Caleigh and Kristian.  Even though Brad was a few years younger than Aeryn, Andrew and Kyle, the three boys didn't mind Brad tagging along.  Brad was smart beyond his years.  Brad was just thirteen years old, but he was more mature than most boys and girls his age.  Brad even managed to help Aeryn's friend, Kristian, with algebra.  Kristian would have failed algebra if it hadn't been for Brad tutoring him in algebra.  Aeryn, Caleigh and Kristian thought it would be nice if Brad came along, sort of a thank you for all Brad's help in tutoring Krisitian. 

Aeryn, Caleigh, and Kristian decided to take a trip to the Kuna Caves near Kuna, Idaho.  Aeryn wanted Brad to come along but his parents thought it might be too risky for Brad to join them.  After some pleading from Aeryn and a promise to look out for his brother, Brad's parents relented and allowed Brad to join Aeryn and his friends.  The four of them took off on their hike to the Kuna Caves.

“Aeryn, I can't wait to get there.  I wonder what adventures await us there?” Brad asked, excited.

“Well, we'll see, Brad.” Aeryn replied.

“Hey, Brad, thank you for the help in algebra.  I'm passing algebra thanks to your help.” Kristian told him.

“No problem, Kristian.  I was glad to help.”

The four kids had arrived at the Kuna Caves and were in awe at the hole in the ground and the mile-long ladder going down into the caves.  Aeryn went first, then Brad, so he could keep an eye on him, then Caleigh went next, followed by Kristian.

“How, that was kinda scary!” Brad exclaimed, once they were all safely at the bottom of the caves.

“I agree.” Caleigh said.  “It was scary, but so fun.”

“Hey, look at the icicles!” Brad exclaimed. “But why are there icicles on the ground?”

“Oh, Brad, those aren't icicles!” Kristian told him.  He was very proficient in geology.  “Those are stalagmites on the floor, and stalactites on theceiling.”

“Stala...what?” Brad asked.

“Stalagmites and stalactites.” Kristian explained further.

“So, those are stalactites?” Brad pointed to the icicles on the floor.

“No, those are stalagmites.” Kristian corrected.

“How can you tell which is which?” Brad asked.

“Think of it this way.  The “g” in stalagmites for ground, and the “c” in stalactites for ceiling.” Kristian further explained.

“Oh, thanks Kristian.  That helps a lot.” Brad said, thankfully.  “Boy, I helped you with algebra and you helped me with geology.”

“We make a great team, don't we?” Kristian agreed.

The four kids explored a little further into the dark depths of the cave with the flashlights that their parents had found for them.  Hunger set in for them, so they all took a seat on some rocks for benches and ate the sack lunch that their parents lovingly made for them.

After they had gotten their fill from their sack lunches, they walk a little further before deciding it was time to turn around.

As they started back, they ran into a dark mysterious figure.  They couldn't see who or what it was due to the glare from their flashights.

“Go, up on ahead!” The figure told them.

Scared and a little creeped out, the four chilldren ran on ahead til they came to the ladder that would allow them to escape that cave.

But they didn't get one foot up that ladder.  The  next thing Aeryn, Brad, Caleigh, and Kristian knew...they were all caught inside nets that they had somehow stepped into as they ran towards the ladder.

Chapter 2

The four nets with Aeryn, Brad, Caleigh, and Kristian inside were being brought up from the cave.  As soon as the nets were brought up, a man and woman grabbed the nets and placed the four children inside a van that was waiting near the exit.  The woman took out a syringe and jabbed it in Caleigh's arm that made her pass out instantly.   Then she carried Caleigh to the van and placed her in the back, along with the other three children. 

Brad and Aeryn's parents were getting worried that the two boys had not yet come home.  They called Caleigh and Kristian's parents to see if they were over at their house.  But they said that the boys, as well as her kids were home either.  The children's parents frantically searched for their children never knowing the true situation their children were in.

The black van pulled into the private parking lot of the huge mansion of the famous Robert Greason, the wealthy entrepreneur of Greason Industries, Inc., the company that invented the #1 fashion line in the world, Greason Couture.

As soon as the van parked, the woman and man brought the four children in and showed them all to their special suite designed only for them.  The suite had a common area for the children to congregate in. . .and four private sleeping areas that were designed according to each of the children's interests. 

“What do you want with us?” Caleigh demanded, after the man and woman dropped them off in their suite.

“You'll find out soon enough.” the man told Caleigh, as well as Brad, Aeryn and Kristian.

Then the four children were locked in their special suite until further notice.

“Are the children here?” Robert Greason asked the man and woman as soon they reported to him.

“Yes, Mr. Greason, the children are locked in their suite you had made up for them.” the man informed Robert.

“Well done, Shawn.  You and your wife will be paid well for your efforts.” Robert Greason told him and Shawn's wife, Belinda.

“Here is your first payment.” Robert said, handing Shawn a check for $5,000.

“Thank you, Mr. Greason.” Shawn told him.  “Thank you for the opportunity to work for you.”

As Shawn left, Robert Greason couldn't wait to start his next plan for the children.  The parents of the four children wouldn't know what hit them when they saw their children on the runway wearing his designs.  It was all Robert's plan to get back at the childrens' mothers for dissing him. 

Chapter 3

Robert Greason sat in his office working on sketches for Aeryn, Caleigh, Kristian, and Brad to model at his fashion show coming up.  He was going to make those children famous just to spite their mothers, Caylynn and Veronica, two bitter sisters who rivaled for Robert's affections. 

It got so bad, Robert had to leave the two sisters, despite his deep affection for Caylynn.  As he bid the two sisters adieu, he vowed vengeance on the two of them one day.  And now he is proud to say, he back to seek revenge on Caylynn and Veronica.  The two sisters wouldn't know what hit them.

Robert picked up his cell and text his secretary, Donna:

“Donna, can U round up the 4 children and hav em sent 2 my office ASAP!”

Donna texts back:

“I'm on it rite now!”

Robert was finishing up the designs he had in mind for each of the four children.  For Caleigh, it was a pink strapless dress; Kristian, a black tuxedo-purple cumber-bun ensemble; Aeryn, dark-blue pin-striped suit with red rose in pocket; and for Brad, a white cotton suit. 

When Caleigh, Kristian, Aeryn and Brad were shown into Robert's office, he pointed each of the children to the spot where he had laid out their outfits they were going to model in his fashion show.

Caleigh was delighted with the dress that Robert showed her.  When she tried it on, she felt like a princess.  Kristian liked his outfit, but Aeryn and Brad didn't care for theirs.

“What is this?” Aeryn objected to the dark-blue pin-striped suit he was shown to try on.

“It's your outfit you will be modeling in the fashion show.” Robert instructed.

“Yeah, like hell I will!” Aeryn flat out told him.

“Oh yes, you will, or you will suffer the consequences!”

“I'd rather suffer!” Aeryn continued to object.

“Okay, Aeryn, after you model the suit, you will spend three days in solitary confinement.” Robert told him.

“I still have to model the suit?” Aeryn asked, confused.

“Yes, Aeryn, you do!” Robert said.  “Now all four of you, Donna will show you back to your suite.  You are to get plenty of sleep tonight.  You all will have a very busy day tomorrow.”

As the children where led back to their room, Robert sat back in his desk chair, poured himself a glass of vodka, and basked in his plan to use the children to get back at their mothers.

Chapter 4

Robert was finishing up the last of his collection done so the children could model the collection for the press.  Robert's hope would be for childrens' mothers to see their children in the newspaper when the collection hit the press.  Robert knew how badly Caylynn and Veronica wanted to be models and they each tried desperately in vain to be his top model.  They even had a rivalry to be Robert's top model/girlfriend. 

Years later, after things had settled down between the two women, that's when Robert saw his chance and decided to use their children as pawns to get at the two women.

The children were about to hit the runway wearing Robert's designs.  And the press would all be to eager to snap photos of Robert's designs, with Caleigh, Aeryn, Kristian, and Brad the center of attention—hopefully bringing about another bitter rivalry between the two women.

Caylynn had just finished her shopping and was checking out when she saw the headline on the daily newspaper:

“Robert Greason:  World Wide Designer Shows Off New Collection!”

Caylynn saw the faces of Caleigh, Kristian, Aeryn and Brad modeling the collection and dialed Veronica's cell.

“Yes, Caylynn?” Veronica said, picking up her cell when she saw it was Caylynn.

“Veronica, I found the children!” Caylynn announced.

“Really?” Veronica asked, relief in her voice.  “Where are they?”

“You won't believe it!” Caylynn told her.

“Why, what happened to them?”

“You remember Robert Greason?”

“Yeah, what's he got to do with our childrens' disappearance?”

“He has them.” Caylynn told her.  “Apparently he kidnapped them.  Our children are on the front page of the daily newspaper.  Modeling Robert's newest collection!”

“What? Veronica gasped.  “Why would Robert do this?”

“I don't know, but I intend to find him and find out why!  Are you with me on this?”

“Yes, Caylynn.”

“Great!  I'll pick you up in about 20 minutes.”

“I'll be waiting!”

Caylynn ended the call and headed for Veronica's home to pick her up.  They would be in for a shock when they encountered Robert Greason and their children.

Chapter 5

Caylynn and Veronica were waiting outside the studio for Robert Greason to show up after the fashion show.  They wanted to know why he kidnapped their children for his fashion show without their consent.

But Robert never came out of the studio.  He was alerted by his guard that two women were waiting outside the studio.

Robert managed to sneak out the back way with the children and get them inside his van without anyone noticing them.

After 30 minutes of not seeing this Robert Greason, Caylynn and Veronica began to wonder why Robert hadn’t emerged from the studio.

They had to find this Greason fellow, but it seems he got away from them….

At the hideaway where Robert was hiding the children, he put them inside their rooms, except Aeryn, who was put in solitary confinement because he disobeyed Robert’s command to model his outfit in the fashion show.

“You can stay there until you decide to come to your senses!” Robert told Aeryn.

But instead, Aeryn sat there trying to come up with an escape plan to get him and his friends to flee this place and get back to their families.

Meanwhile, Caleigh sat alone in her room reading a book, while Kristian and Brad instantly fell asleep in their room, 

Robert was busy designing more outfits for his next fashion show….

While Caylynn and Veronica decided to go to the police to find Robert and their children.
