Writing Prompt: A Narrow Escape

Write a story where your protagonist predicts danger.

The building where the concert fans was about to blow up.  Debris was flying everywhere.  People were screaming trying to get out harm's way.....

Then the man in the gray trench coat came out of his reverie.

“Listen up, folks!” the man in the gray trench coat said as he got up in front of the stage at the concert.

“Boo!  Get off the stage!” the crowd yelled at the man.

“I have something to say!”

“We don’t care!  Don’t interrupt the show!”

“What I have to say will affect you all!”

“Who cares!”

“Listen, please!” the man continued.  “There is going to be an explosion here!”

“Yeah, right!  We don’t believe you!”

“Trust me!  I got a vision of this danger a few minutes ago!” the man warned.

“Get off the stage, now!” the crowd yelled back.  “We want the show back!”

But after the man’s prediction, the concert was stopped abruptly, against the crowds wishes.  They were ushered out of the arena, just in time to see the arena go up in a fiery explosion.

Thanks to the man in the trench coat, there were no casualties.  But someone in the crowd vowed revenge against the man for sabotaging their plot to cause havoc at the concert.
