Writing Prompt: The First Date


Write a story about a first date using dialogue only.

EPISODE I
Boy:  Nice dinner, huh?
Girl:  Um, yeah.
Boy:  What’s your favorite dish?
Girl:  The lasagna.
Boy:  That’s a pretty dress.
Girl:  Thanks.
Girl’s Bestie:  Hey, Girlfriend!  How’s the date going?
Girl:  Fine.  Why are you here?
Girl’s Bestie:   Just checking up on you.
Boy:  Well, she’s alright!
Girl’s Bestie:  Chill out, dude! 
Wait Staff:  What’s g going on in here?
Boy:  This girl was interrupting our meal!
Wait Staff:  I think you should leave, miss?
Girl’s Bestie:  Why?  I wasn’t doing anything?
Girl:  Just leave.  I’ll talk to you later.
Girl’s Bestie:  Okay.  For you, Girlfriend.
Girl:  I’m sorry for that?
Boy:  It’s okay.
Girl:  Where were we?
Boy:  Your Girlfriend made me forget.
Girl:  Then let’s start over?
